Senior moves are often emotional and physically challenging whether the plan is to relocate or stay in place. There are many steps involved in both. Laurie is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) who believes by connecting with her clients and making a commitment to them, she can reduce her client’s stress while managing their relocation or planning for them to stay in place. The following services are provided by LHI and her professional and insured partners who share Laurie’s goal to produce quality results.
Services may vary depending on the client’s needs and goals. Other services are client specific and can be determined during the initial meeting.
Developing your specific plan for relocating or staying in place.
Organizing, sorting, and downsizing of documents, furnishings, clothing, books, photographs (digitalizing photographs can be provided) etc.
LHI will arrange and manage the disposal of unwanted items preferably for the client’s profit. This can be done through auction, buy-out, consignment, donation, estate sale.
Distribution of heirlooms to family, friends, organizations, churches based on the client’s desires.
Selection and management of moving company. Companies will be interviewed to ensure they are the right fit for the client and within the client’s budget.
Arrangement of shipments and storage.
Selection and management of insured professional packing service.

Unpacking of items for the bedroom, kitchen, and arrangement of furniture in your new home according to the approved floor plan.
Management of other services as needed, such as cleaning, waste removal, shopping, exterminating, pet sitting.
Assisting with selection of a realtor.
Management of preparing the home for the real estate market.
Home Staging services provided by LHI or another certified and insured home stager.
Customized floor plans for your new home or current home.
